There are always plenty of ways you can contribute your time and talent to the needs of the church. Check back here for different service opportunities that arise, or join a Redeemer Team to get involved.
After School Child Care Program Director/Teacher
We are beginning the recruitment process for the Director of the After School Program for the 2008-2009 school year. This individual will develop the curriculum for the program and be the lead teacher for the program. Qualified candidates should possess a Master’s degree in curriculum development, early childhood education and previous educational experience to include work with after school programs. Position will require working 25-30 hours per week. Resumes can be emailed to church@redeemermclean.org, faxed to 703.562.7968, or mailed to the church office, to the attention of Beth Joa.
Sunday School Refreshment Help Needed
The gym is open to children after the Sunday School hour. Lemonade and light snacks are provided. Help is needed to set up the refreshments prior to the end of Sunday School hour so that children and adults can enjoy this time of fellowship. Please consider volunteering for one Sunday to assist with this Ministry. A sign-up sheet is on the Refreshment table or email Lisa Richter.
Worship/Education Analysis Task Force
This ongoing task force has been formed to explore new ways to include children in worship, find engaging ways to build Faith Formation, and consider how to continue to meet the worship needs of children, adults and families. Please join us!
Nursery Volunteers Needed
We are looking for a few volunteers to assist in the nursery during Wednesday Lenten services. This will enable some parents with young children to worship with us. This is a great opportunity for youth to earn service hours—but adults are also welcome! If you would like to help, please contact nursery coordinator Christine Ensley. Coffee Hour Help Needed!
Volunteers are needed to warm the hearts of newcomers and members alike by helping at with the Coffee Cart located in the Keillor wing. Helpers are needed during the 9:45 service. No experience needed, just a smile and willingness to greet others. Sign up sheet will be located at the coffee cart, or talk to Carol Martz, our head barrista.
Hospitality help needed!
Every Sunday we enjoy refreshments before and after services. Can you help? You can help with the snack table in Parents’ Hall, or provide kitchen support. It’s a great way to make new friends. Youth are welcome! Please contact Judy Weischedel for more info. Thanks!
Readers and Communion Assistants Needed!
We are urgently looking for volunteers to serve as Readers and Communion Assistants for the worship services. Please contact Maria Retter (mariaretter@juno.com) is you are willing to help!
