Redeemer's seniors meet on a regular basis for education, fellowship, and fun. Programs include:
Young at Heart luncheons are hosted by the Church on a quarterly basis with a speaker or presentation of interest. Luncheons are held the second Wednesday of the months of March, June, September, and December from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Recent luncheon themes include "Flag Day" and "Back to School."
Other activities include attending performances, gathering for dinner and discussion at restaurants, visiting museums and other local attractions, and taking day trips outside Washington.
The book discussion group meets on the last Thursday of every month at 9:00 am. This group reads and discusses primarily works of non-fiction, including texts in the areas of religion, history, economics, science, and politics. Recent and upcoming books include: Marcus Borg's Reading the Bible Again for the First Time and Bart Ehrman's Lost Christianities.
