O Gracious God of all Creation, we come before you united in faith to rejoice in your gift of righteousness and promise. You have put in order the pattern of earth’s seasons and we now experience the coming of Autumn and the colors of nature. We ask that your blessings be upon all people and all nations so that they might recognize your majesty.
Dear God the Merciful, your people cry out for justice as they endure persecution and oppression. Many seek security as refugees in foreign lands free from fear and the opportunity to live better lives. We pray that you will grant them comfort and let the Holy Spirit guide us to show them your love through service to their needs.
Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
O Beloved God of Peace, your world is suffering from wars and violence which cause much harm. People are being displaced from their homes and forced to live in poverty and despair. Bring an end to wars and let freedom provide them renewed hope for a better future. Let world leaders cast aside violence and show your mercy as expressed in the words of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
Dear God of Comfort, be with all who suffer physical or emotional distress. Bless those who are exposed to disease or the effects of poverty and hunger. Bless those who minister to their health needs. Let the Holy Spirit inspire us to provide the support and compassion they need.
Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
O God of Steadfast Love, you have shown us the way to share your compassion to all people regardless of race or nationality. Strengthen our faith and resolve to be your servants of peace and love. In the face of adversity let us hold fast to the conviction that love conquers all and that your mercies and blessings endure forever.
Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
